eWaste Services is a Silicon Valley based company approved by the State of California to collect and recycle electronic products for businesses of all types, including government, non-profit and educational institutions. (We are also approved by the State of California to collect electronic products from residential consumers). eWaste Services provides professional and reliable service to companies that want to discard their electronic waste.
With collection and recycling facilities in Northern, Central and Southern California, we will pick-up and dispose of your company's unwanted e-waste in accordance with the regulatory obligations set forth by the State of California's Universal Waste Rule. Hazardous waste regulations designate a category of hazardous wastes called "universal waste." This category includes many items in addition to batteries, fluorescent lamps, cathode ray tubes, instruments that contain mercury and others. Not all universal wastes are subject to the same regulations or disposal requirements. In general, universal waste may not be discarded in solid waste landfills.
Currently, a large percentage of e-waste ends up in landfill or is shipped to Third World countries, where it is dumped. Electronic waste contains toxins that can cause health problems and damage to our environment, because when electronic products are thrown away, additional pollution is created. Our goal is to reduce the amount toxins generated by pollution and to recycle valuable resources, such as plastics, glass and other materials used to manufacture electronic products.
eWaste Services will take small to large amounts of unwanted e-waste and issue your company a certificate that guarantees the safe and responsible handling of these materials to our local warehouse. We work with organizations of all sizes. Additionally, eWaste Services will collect personal e-waste from your employees. Many of our companies encourage their employees to bring their unwanted computers and televisions from home, which eWaste Services will pick-up and discard at no cost.
